在兑付支票时, 记名支票有必要由指定的人签署支票。而来人支票无须签字可以完成,转让该支票不需要背书。

Most checks bear two bold parallel lines on it, which is called the crossing. A crossing is a instruction to the paying bank that the money proceeds of the check should be paid only to another bank as agent of the payee, not directly to the payee himself. A crossing therefore restricts payment of a check.
